Ring Elite 180 can be powered two ways:
• Plug-in power: Uses the included USB-C power adapter and a standard electrical outlet
• Power over Ethernet: Supports PoE Type 4, allowing one CAT6-or-higher Ethernet cable to supply both power and data; this requires an IEEE 802.3bt-compatible PoE Type 4 switch or injector, not a standard PoE adapter.[ring]
For best performance, Ring recommends a minimum upload speed of 30 Mbps. The camera supports Wi‑Fi 6, dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi, or PoE Type 4 connectivity.
